The long handle allows you to easily reach any area that needs attention! I love the versatility of being able to use different heads for specific spots. It’s a fantastic item—lightweight and effective in alleviating low back pain!

While you can attempt to contact Wahl support, my previous experiences were frustrating and unhelpful, despite multiple attempts. The second unit failed in the same manner as the first, nearly in the same time frame. It’s truly disappointing because I would love to recommend these; they work great for the price. However, they just don’t seem to last, and it appears the manufacturer isn’t committed to honoring their warranty.

After six to twelve months of frequent use, the cord tends to wear out or an internal component breaks. I often try other brands, but they never measure up, so I always end up coming back for another one of these.

Instead of alleviating pain, it seems to worsen it. A complete waste of money.

The variable intensity speed dial allows for precise adjustments to suit your needs. Each attachment serves its purpose effectively, and the power never fades since it’s corded.

Cons: There are only four attachments, but they are versatile and perform well, so I don’t really find that to be a drawback. It’s larger than I anticipated, nearly the length of a short loofah. The cord is quite long (10-12 ft) and can be a bit cumbersome, but it’s preferable to worrying about replacing batteries. When I hold it in my left hand, my metal ring clinks against it, which is both amusing and annoying.

Thoughts: Overall, I like it! It performs well and isn’t too heavy. I’m glad I made the purchase.

I’ve been using it for several years, and it really helped when I was unable to raise my right arm due to slow progress in physical therapy. A few minutes of massage on my shoulder and shoulder blade completely resolved the issue, allowing me to lift my arm pain-free. I also massage my legs after walking, which significantly reduces stress. It alleviates my ankle and heel pain as well. I believe I would achieve even better results if someone else could massage me, allowing me to fully relax. I typically use the lowest setting and find that I don’t need the maximum power. As someone in my 60s with arthritis and hip problems, this device has been a great help. I was initially hesitant about more powerful massagers, but I did consider an upgrade after experiencing a breakdown with this one. I’m grateful I came across a review about someone who disassembled theirs due to a loose screw; I did the same and managed to fix mine. It took some effort to reassemble, but I succeeded despite not being mechanically inclined. I highly recommend this as a starting point for anyone looking for a deep tissue massager. It is a bit noisy, but being corded means no battery issues. While it might not be as powerful as some alternatives, it’s safe and sufficiently effective for most users. Just be prepared to possibly tighten an inner screw, but it’s definitely manageable.

I use it intensively every day alongside my stretching workouts. While stretching is beneficial on its own, this massager really helps keep my hamstrings loose. I appreciate the extra-long power cord, and it’s impressively quiet yet powerful. What’s interesting is that you can glide this massager over bones without feeling it. The curved long handle makes it easy to reach those hard-to-get areas, and it’s so well-balanced that it doesn’t feel heavy. I’ve spent two to three times more on other massagers that don’t perform as well as this one. One last thing: there are at least six Phillips screws holding the device together. I use a long-shank screwdriver to tighten them after extensive use. They don’t require much adjustment, but doing so enhances the performance significantly, and it remains almost silent. Just to clarify, I don’t work for this company, nor do I have any stock in it—though I probably should!

The product arrived damaged and is non-functional.

As an older active male, I sometimes push my limits, which leads to muscle tension. My wife often struggles to relieve this with just her hands, but this device surpasses a traditional massage. It’s cost-effective, requiring only electricity and some time from a partner, and I’ve found that its percussion quality is as effective as a therapeutic oil massage. While it doesn’t provide the comprehensive coverage of a skilled therapist—like facial or scalp massages—it targets all the major areas without tiring or cramping, and thanks to its long handle, I can manage a decent self-massage if needed.

The device’s length and weight allow for precise pressure application, effectively reaching deep tissue where tension resides. Depending on the attachment used and the technique applied, you might uncover discomfort in areas like the shoulder blades, back, and glutes that can then be relieved. After a session, you’ll feel significantly less tension, leading to improved relaxation, deeper sleep, and a calmer mindset.

The adjustable vibration speed is a plus; I prefer high, while my wife likes low. Here are my tips for optimal use:

1) Position yourself at the edge of your bed with 3-5 pillows stacked. This setup lets your arms hang naturally, similar to lying on a massage table, providing access to your trapezius and rhomboid muscles. Keep your legs comfortably extended on the bed, perhaps with a towel under your ankles for support. A small pillow under your forehead can help position your head properly for neck access.

2) Start gently on the upper back (neck and base of the skull), working down one side at a time. Avoid bony areas like the skull and ribs, and use small circular motions. Adjust pressure based on muscle size and direction; larger muscles may need more force and time. Experiment with your partner to discover what feels best, and don’t forget the bottoms of the feet—everyone enjoys a good foot massage!

3) Caution is advised when massaging areas on the front of the body.

4) Using a cotton sheet can keep you warm and prevent the device from snagging on hair.

These machines typically last around two years with daily use, and I would highly recommend it based on my initial experience.

UPDATE Dec. 2, 2016: I bought this on March 7, 2016, and while it was great at first, it has started to fail and is quite noisy. My previous estimate of a two-year lifespan was overly optimistic; it hasn’t even lasted a full year with regular use. The internal components appear to be plastic and wear out quickly. While I still recommend it, I’m disappointed by its lack of durability.
